    It’s in my EDC rotation

    The flattail is in my every day carry rotation, and is a super little knife.

    It’s simply comfy as heck, all of it; the handle, finger guard, jumping, and blade.

    I really like the lanyard hole design, the jimping, and the very small sharpening choil. I’d like to see these features on more MKC models. (The mule deer slipped choil looks like the best in the lineup but the smaller ones do well enough - haven’t gotten anything stuck in them).

    The PVD - food safe coating is also a huge reason I got this model. I like the look and functionality of it.

    The flattail is also named after the beaver, and I’ve coexisted with some pretty cool beavers in my territory. A good nod to nature.

    A New Favorite EDC

    The flattail is in my every day carry rotation, and is a super little knife.

    I really like the lanyard hole design, the jimping, and the very small sharpening choil. I’d like to see these features on more MKC models. (The mule deer choil looks like the best in the lineup but the smaller ones do well enough - haven’t gotten anything stuck in it).

    I got this particular model for a friend of mine who works with ranching and re-wilding. He was very happy with the knife, and will use it on anything from work, fishing, smaller game, and big game.

    The flattail is also named after the beaver, and he’s had beavers on his lands as a part of habitat restoration and management; and simple respect for local wildlife.

    The PVD - food safe coating is also a huge reason I got these knives. I like the look and functionality of it.

    Absolutely stunning.

    Although I haven’t used it yet, this blade is stunning. Grip feels great in the hands, blade is thin and it’s the perfect weight.

    I bought this after field dressing my first deer by myself and realizing the blades I had sucked. I’m excited to try this year during all my whitetail hunts!
