Our knife owners love the MKC Speedgoat for its combination of lightness, toughness, and versatility. While there’s very little the drop point blade design can’t do, some hunters prefer a larger blade belly for skinning purposes. You spoke. We listened. The Stoned Goat was born.
If our Stonewall Skinner and Speedgoat had a baby, this would be it.
The Stoned Goat 2.0 combines the skeletonized, paracord-wrapped handle from the Speedgoat with the trailing point blade shape from the Stonewall — resulting in a knife that reduces the risk of unwanted punctures without sacrificing versatility or ultralight portability.
This 2.0 version takes the original design a step further by incorporating an integrated finger guard and a slightly longer (⅛″), thicker skeletonized handle for improved strength and easier lanyard wrapping.

Got to break this knife in on my first black bear! Field dressed it and skinned it without having to resharpen! If you’re on the fence, spend the money.

This is my 2nd MKC knife the first one is a blaze orange Black Foot love that knife to. I like this one because of the belly on the knife i believe this knife (Stoned Goat) is going to be the perfect skinning knife . I'm wanting to get the Elkhorn hunter as soon as it becomes available. Recently purchased this Stoned Goat in blaze orange as an all around field knife for mainly Midwest hunting with some out West hunts. Just harvested my first Wisconsin black bear and what a pleasure it was to do work on this bear with an absurdly sharp knife. For all the hype of how much tougher a bear hide is, this knife went through it like butter. Everyone has different uses for hunting knives but for me, this was worked wonderfully. Looking forward to many more years and many more easier field dressing jobs! Thank you MKC!
