When it comes to steel, the Chopper doesn’t mess around. The quarter-inch-thick blade is carved from premium 52100 carbon steel. Cryogenically treated for maximum toughness, this steel hits that sweet spot between holding an edge and absorbing serious abuse. The Blaze Orange Cerakote coating keeps the elements at bay and protects the blade long term.
HAND-SCULPTED ERGONOMIC HANDLE

The Chopper’s handle is the product of obsessive craftsmanship. Josh Smith hand-sculpted the perfect grip, then our team used precision calipers to measure every curve and contour of his custom work.

We digitally recreated that exact feel for production, creating an ergonomic masterpiece that grips like a custom knife but performs like the workhorse it is. When you’re swinging a quarter-inch of steel around, unshakeable control isn’t just nice to have. It’s survival.

    Better than I imagined

    The Chopper is even better than I imagined. It feels great in hand and has well-balanced weight to it. It swings easily and has a crazy sharp edge. The blaze orange makes it stand out and means I won’t easily lose it when doing work. The leather sheath is high quality. I can’t wait to put it through the paces soon! Another great one from MKC!

    This blade is incredible. Impressed. I was a little worried about the price at first. But after using this thing and chopping some branches. Im impressed. I might buy another when they release other colors. MKC is an amazing company.
