Sometimes you want a regular burger, and sometimes you want an American hot burger that’ll make your neighbors call the fire department.
This American AF burger packs wild flavors and enough heat to change your backyard grilling experience permanently. Be warned: This recipe is only for those brave enough to approach without a fire extinguisher.

Ingredients
blank
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 80/20 ground beef patties
- 4 slices of pepper jack cheese
- 6 jalapeños
- 12 slices of bacon
- Your favorite bold mustard
- Your favorite spicy ketchup
- High-quality sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Your preferred high-heat charcoal
Directions
blank
Heat your charcoal using a charcoal chimney until glowing hot.
Season the beef patties with sea salt and pepper on both sides, gently pressing the seasonings in with a clean hand.
Place your American hot burger patties on the charcoal grill and cook until browned on one side, then flip. Add pepper jack cheese and continue cooking until you reach your desired temperature.
Simultaneously, lay the bacon on the grill and cook until it reaches your preferred crispiness.
Char jalapeños under direct flame until they soften and the outside layer blackens. Remove carefully using tongs with a secure grip.
Toast brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.
Assemble your American hot AF burger by spreading mustard on the bottom bun, adding the seasoned patty, bacon strips, and sliced jalapeños. Top with a spread of spicy ketchup and crown with the top bun.
